Domaine Tinel-Blondelet

Loire Valley, France

  • Country France
  • Region Loire Valley
  • Sub-region Pouilly-Fumé

The charming Marlène Tinel produces subtle, terroir-driven Sauvignon from 15 hectares around Pouilly-sur-Loire. We buy just one of her wines but what a delightful wine it is: Arrêt[1]Buffatte hails from the eponymous parcel of vines which lies on the Roman road linking Paris and Clermont-Ferrand (the name derives from it being a popular place in Roman times to stop for a snack). Kimmeridgian marl predominates here, and the vines are an average 45 years old.

Register now for our biennial portfolio tasting on Tuesday, 29 April from 10am - 4pm at the Royal Opera House. Trade and press only.
